FALL FEST RECAP

Friday night’s Welcome Back Fall Fest was an amazing success! Thank you to all of our volunteers and donators for making this fun event possible. In particular, a HUGE THANK YOU to: Jeannie Graves and Stephanie Quok (Fall Fest co-chairs); Jen Archuleta and Jen Ring (volunteer coordination); Alyssa Mochizuki and Jessica Baiocchi (decorations); Kiyomi Ishimoto and Samantha Nitta (games and prizes); Cori Wong (concessions); Emily Cox and Miki Chung (punch card sales); and Cady Wachsman (graphic design and printing).

Back to School Night Reminders

Dear Didion families,

Back to School Night (BTSN) is tomorrow, Wednesday, September 14th . Here are some reminders about the event: 

Presentations for K-3 and 7th & 8th grade: 5:30pm – 6:35pm

Presentations for 4th-6th grade: 6:25pm – 7:30pm

Community Announcements on the blacktop from 6:25pm – 6:35pm

We ask that students not attend the class presentations (they can be outside) and that when possible only one parent per child enter each class in order to minimize crowding inside. 

Fall Fest is back!

Welcome back, Fall Fest! Our beloved annual tradition has returned and is scheduled for Friday, October 21st. Presales are now available on the PTA website. Presales will end on October 17th.

Good evening Didion families,

Mr. Eder here. First I want to thank students and staff for their supreme flexibility and patience as we worked to navigate yet another unprecedented set of challenges in this week of extreme heat. Parents, thank you also for your support and understanding as we work hard every day to thoughtfully and efficiently manage circumstances that change frequently and unexpectedly. I am really grateful for our community and our collective commitment to always work together for our amazing Dragons. Now, some important announcements and updates.

Good evening, Didion families,

I hope you all had a great three day weekend. Here are some important updates and announcements.

AT-HOME COVID TESTS

Please give your child the at-home COVID test that they were given on Friday this evening. Remember, if your child has symptoms of illness, please do not send them to school. Call the main office to be connected to our Health Aide, Mr. Ed, who will explain the return to school protocols. Thank you for working together with us to keep our students as healthy as possible.

Good evening, Didion families!

The adventure begins tomorrow!! We are so excited to welcome our students back to school tomorrow, Thursday, September 1st. Here are some important reminders and announcements for you all to keep in mind for the first day of school.

Masking is not required, but is highly recommended indoors. Please talk to your child about showing empathy and understanding for others in regards to the choices that they make about wearing or not wearing masks. 

Class lists and Covid Tests

Dear Didion families,

Just a quick reminder that class lists will be posted online and outside the front office on Monday, 8/29. 

Also, we will be distributing free at-home COVID test kits for all of our students during the following dates and times. Parents, please give your child a COVID test on Wednesday, August 31st:

– Monday, 8/29, 9;00am – 11:00am — In front of the office

– Tuesday, 8/30, 2:00pm – 4:00pm — In front of the office

– Wednesday, 8/31, 8:00am – 2:00pm — Inside the main office
