The second annual Didion science fair was an amazing show of cool scientific displays from almost 150 of our Didion dragons. Experiments tested things like whether fertilizer really helped plants to grow, what colors absorb more heat and whether the air pressure on a soccer ball really effected how far it was kicked.
We had students of all ages complete projects. Of our top ten Awards for excellence we even had two first graders win awards: Aleaya Simmons and Misha Makram.
I am pleased to inform you that the SCUSD Budget Meeting last night went very well. We had a nearly full house and a nice showing of parents and teachers who were both supportive and vocal with their opinions.
Thank you to all that attended! It made a difference.
This year’s fall festival on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Genevieve Didion K-8 School will be quite special as it will be the 10th anniversary of the construction of the gym, which brought back many memories of the fundraising efforts that have made it such a part of the Pocket community.
