Dragon Dash Updates

Dear Didion Families,

We have one week left to reach our Dragon Dash goal! Right now we are close to an amazing $25,000! But we still have a way to go to get to our goal, so please keep collecting those donations! Remember, the Dragon Dash is the Genevieve Didion PTA’s largest annual fundraiser that directly funds school enrichment in many areas including music & art classes, field trips, community events, reading & literacy programs, middle school promotion, and more!

Didion’s Dragon Dash fundraising has officially started! For the next two weeks, we’re asking our friends and families to help us make our school’s largest annual fundraiser a success. Your support for Dragon Dash gives Didion enrichment in many areas including music & art classes, field trips, community events, and reading & literacy programs. Dragon Dash will conclude on Wednesday, November 8th with our students completing a jog-a-thon style course on campus and recording their laps. Families are welcome to come cheer on their students!

High School Specialty Programs

Dear 8th grade families,

Please see attached flyer regarding SCUSD’s High School Specialty Programs and application window (10/30 – 11/17). Students were given a hard copy of the flyer today to bring home.

Back to School Night

Didion’s Back to School Night is next Wednesday, September 13th! Here are all of the important details so you can plan ahead:

Back to School Night for TK, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade will be from 5:30 – 6:35 , including my community announcements.

Back to School Night for Kinder, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th and 8th grade will be 6:25 – 7:30, including my community announcements.

·         We ask that students do not attend the class presentations, as the rooms can get quite crowded. Students may be outside, however.

School Starts Tomorrow!

Good evening, Didion families!

We are so excited for tomorrow! Our teachers and staff have been working extremely hard to be prepared to welcome all of our students back for the 2023-2024 school year!  School starts tomorrow at 8:00am with Blacktop Announcements. After entering the campus, students should line up on the line that corresponds with their classroom room number. Middle school students will line up on the basketball court in front of the play structure. Here are some additional last minute reminders:
