Each day next week is a themed spirit day. Please encourage your child to dress up and participate each day as we commit to stopping bullying, and being kind!:

DRAGON DASH FUNDRAISER

Speaking of community and PTA support, our biggest annual fundraiser of the year kicks off next Monday, October 23 rd. Look for more communication from me that day about the Dragon Dash fundraiser!

STORYBOOK PUMPKIN PARADE, OCTOBER 31 ST

The Storybook Pumpkin event is back! Your child can create a pumpkin based on any book and bring it to school for display. Pumpkins will be on display in the library Oct 16-31. On Oct 31, all pumpkins will be outside in the primary hallway and families are welcome to come take a look. Please see the attached flier for more details and rules.

STORYBOOK/LITERARY CHARACTER SPIRIT DAY AND PARADE, OCTOBER 31 ST

On Tuesday, October 31 st, students are invited to dress up in costume as their favorite storybook or literary character! Please remember: no masks, no toy weapons, and no gore. Also, students need to be able to be independent with their costumes (easy to take on or off as needed). On the afternoon of the 31 st, we’ll also have a costume parade for all students at 1:15pm. Parents are welcome to visit campus that afternoon to watch the brief parade of students around the track, next to the gym.

LOST AND FOUND

Our lost and found racks are overflowing! Please check them before or after school for your child’s belongings. They will be located outside of the cafeteria doors. All remaining items will be donated at the end of the month.

PARENTSQUARE COMMUNICATION

By now, you have likely noticed that the majority of the district’s central communication to families is coming via the ParentSquare communication platform. Some sites, including Didion, have the opportunity to pilot ParentSquare as a communication tool as well. You can expect to see communication from me in the coming weeks and months through ParentSquare as we transition to the new tool. In the meantime, please watch this video to learn more about ParentSquare for parents.
