Updates 9/1/23
Dear Didion Families,
We have had an outstanding first two days of school! Just a friendly reminder that there is no school on Monday, September 4th, in honor of Labor Day. We’ll be back on campus and kicking off the week with blacktop announcements on Tuesday the 5th. Here are some important updates and announcements:
DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
The first days of school are always the busiest and most hectic times at both the start and end of the day. We are constantly looking for ways to improve upon efficiency and safety for all processes involving our students. I will keep you updated as we review our dismissal procedures and will let you know well in advance if we make any significant changes. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support!
FIRST DAY PACKETS
Parents, please make sure to complete your homework! :) Please have your child return your completed First Day Packets on Tuesday, 9/5.
LCFF APPLICATION
Paper copies of the LCFF applications were included in the First Day Packets. Parents may also fill out LCFF applications online. LCFF applications help to determine how much funding our district, and Didion, receives. Please help us secure the resources that we need by filling out the very brief application. Only one per household is needed.
PTA MEETING
The first Didion PTA meeting of the school year is on Wednesday, September 6th. Parents are encouraged to join even if they are not yet a member. The meeting will be at 5:30pm in the cafeteria or virtually through zoom [Meeting ID: 819 9827 1436 / Passcode: DidionPTA].
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
Back to School Night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 13th! Here are all of the important details so you can plan ahead:
- Back to School Night for TK, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade will be from 5:30 - 6:35
, including my community announcements.
- Back to School Night for Kinder, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade will be 6:25 - 7:30
