Want to meet new people in your neighborhood? Itching to try something new and have a little fun? Look no further than the Didion PTA to tap into an exciting network of parents and teachers all volunteering their time to help our school community thrive.
Our organization’s focus is to fund enrichment programs for students and parents, as well as provide support for teachers and staff at our school. Our success relies solely on the commitment of our parents and teachers who volunteer each and every day to help us reach our financial goals to fund and support these vital services all the while creating a sense of community and Dragon school pride!
But between work and the kids who has the time to keep up with all the great volunteer opportunities? Well look no further than Didion’s new Volunteer Hot Spot, a great place to sign up to volunteer for special events and fundraisers and help build our community. From our annual Fall Fest held each October, to our Pancake Breakfast and Crab Feed each spring, it’s never been easier to get involved.

Parents support the life of a classroom and broader school community in many ways and provide the practical and emotional support that lead to a vibrant and open community. The class liaison serves as a bridge, facilitating the connection of families in the class to the teacher and to the school at large by ensuring lines of communication are open between parents, teachers and the school administration. And remember – you do not have to do everything yourself. Asking other class parents to help out on school projects, teacher assignments or jobs is part of what being a class liaison is all about.
Volunteering is an important part of the success of our students.
We always need help! Check with your teacher about volunteering in the classroom or check with the front office. We also need drivers for fieldtrips and events. You will need to get a background check and TB test before qualifying to drive on field trips. Make sure you have everything you need.
E-mail updates are a great way to keep up with what’s going on at Didion! From our bi-monthly school newsletter to information specific to our K-6 or Middle School programs, it has never been easier to stay connected. Simply choose from the list below which group you would like to join.
We promise to only send you information pertinent to our school or district, and will never share your email address with anyone. Every message will include a link allowing you to unsubscribe at any time.
And don’t forget to add email@example.com to your address book to ensure none of the school updates go into your Spam or Junk folders.
