DRAGON DASH PJ DAY AND RACE SCHEDULE

I am so excited to announce that we have raised over $30,000 for our Dragon Dash fundraiser! This means that tomorrow (11/7) is a Pajama Day spirit day! This also means that we still have a ways to go to reach our $65,000 goal, and to get me into a dunk tank! If you haven’t already, please register your child at mybooster.com to start collecting pledges (for more info, visit THIS LINK). Just a reminder that this is our PTA’s primary fundraiser for the whole year, and the proceeds go to support field trips, our library/literacy program, art and music, the school garden, classroom support, and more.

This Thursday, November 10th is our actual Dragon Dash race day. Right now, the forecast calls for it to be a chilly morning, so please make sure to dress your child appropriately for running that day. All students will be receiving a free Dragon Dash t-shirt on Thursday to put on over their long sleeves and sweatshirts. Parents and family members are welcome to attend their child’s race. Here is the schedule for Thursday:

Kindergarten Run Time: 8:20-8:35
1st Grade Run Time: 8:50-9:05
2nd Grade Run Time: 9:20-9:35
3rd Grade Run Time: 9:50-10:05
4th Grade Run Time: 10:20-10:35
5th Grade Run Time: 10:50-11:05

Middle School Run Time: 11:50-12:05

VETERANS DAY HOLIDAY

There is no school this Friday (11/11) in honor of Veterans Day.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE MINIMUM DAYS (GRADES 1-6)

Every day next week (11/14 – 11/18) is a minimum day for grades 1-6 due to parent-teacher conferences. Monday, November 28th, is also a minimum day for grades 1-6 due to conferences. Friday, December 2nd, will be a minimum day for grades 1-6 due to the end of the trimester.

COVID CASES AND MASK REMINDER

Lastly, we are seeing an increase in positive COVID cases throughout the district and at Didion in recent weeks. Masks are still highly encouraged indoors, especially for 10 days after there has been a positive case in a classroom. Masks continue to be available to all students in every classroom.
