Honey Code

HoneyCode introduces students (3rd-6th grades) to the language of technology. Students will learn all about the fundamentals of coding science, including sequencing, logic, problem solving skills, algorithms, and much more! Wednesdays, 2:20-3:30pm, Rm TBD. To register, go to Dream Enrichment’s Registration website.

HoneyCoders will use a mix of “plugged” and “unplugged” activities to gain a strong foundational knowledge in computer science. All students will be provided laptops and tablets to access specially designed coding education apps (e.g., Scratch, Kodable, and Tynker) to make their own stories, animations, and video games! We’ll also explore physical computing with the Makey Makey invention kit, and engage in reverse engineering to take apart computer components and learn how they work on the inside. HoneyCode classes even feature the chance to program real robots to follow student’s instructions!
