PTA MEETING

Our next PTA meeting is on Wednesday, March 1st at 5:30pm. Join us for our executive board elections as well as updates on upcoming events like Spring Fest and our inaugural Golf Tournament! TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN AT DIDION

Sacramento City Unified recently announced that applications will open for the 2023-2024 Transitional Kindergarten program starting Tuesday, February 21 at 8:00am. Students who turn five September 2, 2023 through April 2, 2024 are eligible to apply. Genevieve Didion will be one of the new TK sites starting in 2023-2024. To qualify to register for TK, students must be 5 years of age September 2, 2023, through April 2, 2024 and live within the Sacramento City Unified School District boundaries. Applications can be submitted online at https://www.scusd.edu/tk. Interested families can visit the website to learn more about TK. 

SPIRIT DAY AND DIDION’S ONLINE GEAR STORE

DRAGONS DINE OUT

Order your favorite dish or try something new at our next Dragons Dine Out at Panda Express on March 8th! YOUNG ACTORS STAGE AND THE WIZARD OF OZ

Registration is open for the Didion Cast’s production of The Wizard of Oz!  This session is open to students in grades 1-8.  After school rehearsals will take place in the Didion Gym, March 7-May 11, Tuesdays (2:30-5:00pm) & Thursdays (1:30-4:00).  Tech week and performances will take place May 13-21, at 24th Street Theater. DIDION’S INAUGURAL GOLF TOURNAMENT – MAY 6TH

We are so excited to bring our inaugural golf tournament to families and friends of Didion on Saturday, May 6, 2023! This fun filled tournament includes golf complete with games such as Beat Mr. Eder’s Foursome, dinner, silent auction, raffle and more. For more information, visit the website. SPRING FEST 2023

Save the date for Spring Fest 2023 on Saturday, March 25th!  Kids will get a chance to fill their baskets with eggs stuffed with goodies and everyone will get to enjoy tasty fried rice and donuts. We are looking for donations of plastic Easter eggs along with small toys and nut & chocolate free candy to fill the eggs. Donations can be dropped off in the library or front office until March 13th. More details to come soon!

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE MINIMUM DAYS (GRADES 1-6)

March 27th through March 31st will be minimum day for grades 1-6 due to parent-teacher conferences. On minimum days, 1st-3rd grade dismisses at 12:05, and 4th – 6th grade dismisses at 12:19.
